A well known tourist ritual on Maui is seeing the dawn on Haleakala - the volcano that created Maui. You arrive at the summit well before dawn, greeted by freezing weather and cold winds. There you wait in small windowed structure, so you can see the sun come out, clear of the winds. Its very "spiritual"...
