Commentary: This is the legendary show that contains what is now called the "Birkenstock Encounter" where a fan in the crowd throws a Birkenstock onto the stage. The comment by Perry was significant because the previous night's show, he was hit by a boot thrown from the crowd.

This show was professionally recorded on both video and audio by the band. Video footage from this show can be found in the Farrell / Niccoli film The Gift, as well as the Ain't No Right video.

The audio copy of this show obviously got into the hands of a third party which eventually lead to the creation of this disc. The exact same audio taped from this show was the source of live material put out on Live & Rare and the Classic Girl single as well as a few other official releases by Warner Brothers Records.
