This is a complete - if rather short - concert at the Oude-Ahoy Hallen in Rotterdam. The liner notes suggest that this was the Floyd's first concert in Holland, and that it was very well received hence "Holland became one of (their) favorite destinations". This is a rare feature, with Roger singing, and Syd on bass. Although this is no doubt important as an historical document, listeners after clear versions of the likes of Scream Thy Last Scream would be better off
with one of the BBC or studio outtakes releases. Note: the disc is listed as 'The Live Pink Floyd', 'Rotterdam Oct 12, 1967' or 'Oude-Ahoy Hallen'. -TAP#52

IMHO, the quality rates G+. This is better than other roios from similar period, like Mystery Tracks. Though, vocals on "An Old Woman With A Casket" are a bit inaudible. "Set The Controls" is very much like the later versions, ie. with instrumental section with heavy gong bashing and organ solos from Rick. -AARO

This was not the first show by the Floyd in The Netherlands, they had played before in Terneuzen and Vlissingen on June 11 and allegedy also in Rotterdam in October 1967, although I still haven't found any evidence for that show (dates mentioned were Oct12 and Oct22). This recording however is from concert at the Hippy-Happy fair on November 13th. They were scheduled for the 12th but they played on the 13th. Sound isn't that bad, but the vocals are almost inaudible. Still very worth while for the inclusion of 'Reaction in G' -ANDRE
