Utah |
In March, 1995, my wife Nettie and I took a trip to Moab, Utah to look for the ultimate mountain biking experience.
slikrock.jpg (33k): This is a nice view
of the Slickrock Trail in Moab, Utah that I took last Spring. Note that
they have marked the trail is by painted white dashes!
SLIKDan.jpg (61k): This is a picture of me
riding the trail in an area where a professional photographer waits for
unsuspecting egomaniacs like myself to come along, so that he can take
our pictures and make us pay outrageous sums for the prints so that we
can show off to all of our friends. It does give you a better view of
the type of rock that you ride on. Excellent traction!
moabslik.jpg (39k):Here you can see the town
of Moab, Utah, from a vantage point on the Slickrock trail.
Shrimp.jpg (33k):Shrimp rock is one of the
most well known landmarks on the trail, and tells you that you are
nearing the end if you have followed the trail in the clockwise (easier)
direction.
directs.jpg (28k):Here you can see how easy
it is to follow the trail - directions are painted on the rock!
