I play guitar
I've been playing since the middle Seventies. I started out on acoustic, a folkie, and moved into electric guitar, but at heart I'm a folk musician in the tradition of folk music eclectics who'll play just about anything. I also mess around with other instruments. If you want to hear what I sound like there are links here to sites that will stream audio samples of my playing.
I'm a home recording hobbyist
I've been doing home recording for longer than I've been playing. I started out with cassettes and moved up to a cassette "Portastudio" and finally to hard drive recording using Digidesign's ProTools Digi001.
I'm a G.A.S. sufferer
Like many home recording hobbyists and guitar players I suffer from "Gear Acquisition Syndrome". For some sufferers this means they must always have the latest and greatest, but my addiction is usually sated with something in the "value priced" area. In my poorest days I enjoyed going through second-hand stores, flea markets and yard sales for guitars and equipment. Now days I have less time for this, but still enjoy finding something different at a good price. So I can help you get G.A.S. too, especially if you have a limited amount of money to spend.
