We usually don't sell our male pack llamas because we use them in the rental business. Occasionally we will sell a male pack llama that is getting up
in age (e.g., more than 12 years old), or that is not considered a top-of-the-line packer. These are great llamas for those folks just getting into llama trekking who don't intend to pack 8 to 10 miles a day, day in and day out.
These llamas are experienced packers that can be easily haltered and led, that could easily make shorter pack trips, or that would be great family pets. They can be used to train other llamas, because inexperienced llamas learn best
by the examples of experienced packers. These type of male llamas are usually sold from $350 to $500.

Currently we don't have any older pack llamas for sale in 2012. We do have a few young llamas just beginning training that we might sell.

Baby llamas "crias", are typically born with no help from their owners. Typically ours just show up one day in the pasture! A cria will nurse from it's mama for about 3 months and then start sampling what she eats. They are weaned at about 7 months.
Watching babies romp and play together, or with older yearlings is a lot of fun.
We find it very enjoyable just to watch llamas in the pasture. They are quite curious and show a keen interest in their surroundings. They provide us hours of peaceful enjoyment.
