The smell of the grass, the crack of the bat, the buzz of the crowd, and singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the 7th inning stretch.  It's all part of what gives me a "baseball buzz" .  Whether you're a true fan or just a casual observer, there's bound to be something baseball-related that you will find interesting.

Okay, let's start with some of my favorite teams.  Being a Philly-born boy, I grew up watching the Phillies play ball.  Those were the days, when Mike Schmidt and Steve Carlton were the dominant players of the league.   If you'd like to see what the Phillies are up to these days, check out their official website, Philadelphia Phillies.com.  You may not recognize many of the players today, but as a famous person once said ( he sounds like a basefall fan to me! ), "Hope springs eternal."

The ol' Phillies aren't the team they once were, but we can still lay claim to having one of the best mascots on the league, the Phillie Phanatic!!  His on-field antics are legendary,  and those Phillies fans that have seen him have probably been more entertained by the Phanatic than by what the Phillies were doing on the field!  Check out the Phanatic Biography and learn more about this lovable green, fuzzy creature.
After moving to Denver in 1987, I was excited to know that Denver was getting a National League team of their own, the Colorado Rockies. Since I lived in Denver when they were considering bringing a team here, I was able to vote for baseball, vote for building Coors Field, and I even attended the expansion draft that created a brand new baseball team in Denver!  The Colorado Rockies have been playing baseball here in Denver since 1993.  They even made it to the wildcard playoffs in 1995, the first year they played at Coors Field. The Colorado Rockies have a great website, filled with pictures of Coors Field, some even in virtual reality!  The "kids" section includes baseball 101, which covers the rules of the game, and the interactive section has lots of cool stuff to do with your computer.

BALLPARKS is a site that you can access to get information about any professional ballpark in the country.  Start by choosing your sport (there's baseball, basketball, football, and hockey), then navigate on the left menu to find exactly what you're looking for.  This site has comprehensive information about ballparks past and present.  Check it out and enjoy the pictures!

FASTBALL is a website that has just about anything for the baseball fan.  Use their site map to find anything and everything about baseball. From current news to dugout chats to slideshows, this site has it all.  A must for baseball fans!

For the true baseball fan, the best place to start would be Major League Baseball's sitemap. Here you'll find information, stats, records, and any other baseball-related topic.  Find your favorite team and read all about it.  This official site will give you the straight story.

Here's a site that was recommended by a friend.  How could I have missed it??  The Baseball Almanac is filled with incredible statistics, activities, and loads of other stuff.  It's easy to navigate their database, and you're bound to find that obscure fact you were looking for.
