Paris is filled with history, art, food, and people!
Here's Leah with her mom and stepdad at Notre Dame. On the left is
the state house in downtown Paris.
Okay, it's time you knew that I sometimes have
a little 'problem' with having to go to the bathroom. On our way
to the Eifel Tower, I couldn't hold it anymore, so I ducked into one of
the city's public toilets. Little did I know that my picture would
be taken upon my exit!! The toilets are also "self-cleaning".
After each use, water automatically washes out the interior. The
sign on the door warns against children entering, because if there's too
short, WHOOSH! they'll get washed, too!
This is Leah and I getting ready for our tour
of the Eifel Tower. It looks a LOT bigger up close! I know
it's a rather "touristy" thing to do, but the view from the top was worth
it! The elevators on the tower are over 100 years old. You
can purchase tickets to go halfway up, or go all the way to the top.
We went to the top!
This is the view from the top! As you can
see, Paris is one crowded place! But we also noticed that there weren't
any skyscrapers nearby, making the view much better.
This is the view looking DOWN to the bottom of
the Eifel Tower. Leah held out her arm and snapped this picture.
Boy, there's a lotta trash on that ledge!
