Our History

The Golden Eagles of Minnesota are an African-American, nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging minority youth and their families to consider the field of aviation as a career option.  Being part of a national  organization--Negro Airmen International  (NAI) | Black Wings in Aviation--enables us to be affiliated with similar chapters accross the United States.  The Golden Eagles of  Minnesota have continued to promote and create  new opportunities for youth to explore the exciting field of aviation since 1967.
Aviation Launch Day has been annual event for this chapter since 1988.  The sole purpose of this event is to make urban and minority youth aware of the multitude of aviation opportunities available to them.
