The Furby Olympics
by Kristin
The Furby Olympics are very like the Olympics that we have. Only all the competitors are Furbys. Let me tell you about the most recent Furby Olympics..........................
It was the middle of Spring, and a very nice day
at that. There was quite a commotion at the park. This park was the largest
one in town, and the most beautiful. Hundreds, no THOUSANDS of Furbys were
gathered at the park today. It was the day for the Furby Olympics. You
should have been there. Look over at the basketball court, and you would
have seen Furbys running around, warming up for the basketball game. And
over at the playground, you would have seen Furbys warming up for the obstacle
course. And all over the bike path, Furbys were stretching out for the
running race. It was quite an amazing sight. I myself was there on business
(as a reporter) and was greeted immediantly by 2 Furbys in red, white,
and blue running suits. Once Furby asked who I was, and after giving a
quite extensive identification, I was given a small booklet. It looked
like a program of some sort. I opened to the first page and this is what
I saw:
WELCOME TO THE FURBY OLYMPICS
The events and their competitors are listed below
Basketball: Team 1: A-loh, Koh-Koh, Team 2: May-Lah, Toh-Loo
Obstacle Course: Team 1: Lee-Lee, Noh-Lah Team 2: Mee-Mee, May-Lah
Running Race: Team 1: Toh-Dye, E-Day Team 2: Dumo, Kah
Gymnastics: Koh-Koh, Loo-Loo, Toh-dye, E-Day
Ok, so it wasn't that big of a deal. But there were
many Furbys there. Most of them were there to watch. Suddenly, I turned
around to the sound of Furbys cheering. A gray Furby ran in, carrying a
mini torch. I smiled at the sight. It passed it on to a white Furby, and
that one passed it on to a black one, and the torch was passed on until
it reached the last Furby. That Furby went up to a pile of sticks and lit
them. The flame was a brillant sight. The Furby Olympics were now going
to start.
It was quite an exciting sight. I covered the whole
event in it's entirety. I thought it was a fun thing to do. It was very
funny to see all those Furbys doing Olympic events. Even though there were
not that many events listed, it was very long. They had several breaks
were a group of Furbys danced in the middle of the field. And some Furbys
sang.
When I got home that night, I took out the small
program out along with some Polaroid pictures I had taken. I laughed as
I posted them on my wall. I would never forget the day I went to the Furby
Olympics.
