The Furby Gathering Place is where people from all over can unite to get information about Furbys and see what's up with Furbys these days!

In case you didn't know, Furbys are electronic pets, similar to Giga Pets. But the only difference is that they interact with you! They like to sing and dance and have fun! Furbys are made by Tiger electronics and can be found all around the world. There are many different furby color combinations available. Here are some examples: white, black/white, grey/black spots/pink tummy/, grey, grey/white. And some of the new ones: tiger, bear, frog, lamb, leopard, dalmation, giraffe, wolf, zebra, gorilla, elephant and a surprise color coming soon! Some special editions: Graduation Furby, Spring Furby, and Patriotic Furby. That's not all of them, but it's most of them! Oh yes, and we must not forget the Baby Furbys and the Furby Buddies! Furby Buddies are little bean bag versions of Furbys. They don't talk, but they're still cute. On to Baby Furbys! Baby Furbys are not released yet, but there is news going around! They will be 4 inches tall, pastel colored, and will talk like a baby! Gotta get one of those!

FURBY BANNED FROM THE U.S. NAVY
Furbys are no longer allowed on the U.S. Navy base because of a belief that they are a recording device. If a Furby is found on the premesis of the U.S. Navy base, the Furby will be taken away and the owner will be punished. Furby- Stay away from there! But be prepared to give your name, rank, and serial number!

FURBY DRENCHED
A woman found a mysterious package on her doorstep, and firemen came and drenched it in water. The package turned out to be a Furby! Oh darn! :(

ARE FURBYS CHEAPLY MADE?
There is a rumor going around that Furbys are being cheaply made! It is something to think about. They break pretty easily if they get dropped. That's a problem. But maybe it's not Tiger's fault. Some people may be mistreating their Furby(s). Always handle your Furby with care!

FURBY LAWSUIT
No need to worry! The big lawsuit involving Disney and Tiger Electronics has been resolved and all is well. :)

FURBY CURSORS
Furby cursors are available for free from Comet Cursors. To get them, go to www.furby.com and when the box pops up (asking you if you want the cursors) click YES! It only takes 10 seconds! Really! I have the Furby cursor on my computer! But then when you see the little Furby replacing your old cursor, right-click on it and drag down to 'Save as current cursor'. Click. You're done!

CONSUMER OPINION
This is an actual email I recieved from a visitor of this page

"I thought you may want to know. With all the hipe about these cute little toys, it may be hard to purchase one at a reasonable price. You could wait for Wal-Mart or Toys-r-us to get them into stock, be the first person there and perhaps if the employees of these stores haven't bought them all, you could get lucky.
I have looked at most, if not all webstores. The price may range $39.95 up to $195.00.  If  your child wants one, you could buy at these prices but I don't see a need to. Go to Amazon.com, select the toy section and do a search for 'Furby'.  These list by color, what they have in stock and will put you on an e-mail list for any that are forthcoming. Their price is $29.95 plus shipping.
By the way, check the current bid prices on e-bay and Amazon.com auctions before you try buying there. I'm not quite sure why someone will pay $50 or $60 for a Furby when they can still buy them for $29.95.
These are strictly my opinions and don't constitute any formal information from any regulatory source. I'm just a consumer who buys these cute little toys for my family and friends."
