Mark's Favorite Clichy 41
Baccarat 10

Checker, Clichy, 1845-55.

Catalog 41

Paperweights with millefiori and pastry-mold canes framed in a checker arrangement were a Clichy specialty.  The use here of  a variety of colors (pink, pastel green, pastel blue and white) for the filigree cane segments is unusual, perhaps an experiment to create a novel effect

Garland-patterned millefiori on carpet ground, Baccarat, c. 1846-55

Catalog 10

The meandering pattern of this paperweight's six-loop millefiori garland, set upon a white, stardust-cane carpet ground, gives it  a festive air.  This rare Baccarat paperweight was compared by Paul Hollister to a "formal garden whose flowers are set in a ground of white pebbles".
