Notable is the pristine, basketlike, base of double-swirl filigree with complex filigree twists encircling the rim and base.

Pedestal, Staint-Louis, 1848, (cat. no. 67).

The signature and date here SL/1848) make this Saint-Louis concentric millefiori pedestal especially rare. 

A drawing dated 1848, found in the company archives, provided the model for this Saint-Louis specialty.
