We're Arizona's only bonsai specialists, featuring indoor/outdoor tropical bonsai for the home and office.  We feature Fujian tea (Ehretia buxifolia) imported from China; the small-leafed variety is grown from seed and displays both flowers and fruits several times a year.  Another specialty is ficus, and these thrive outdoors when our days are warm (even hot), with protection from cold.  We offer the Ficus Burt Davyii "Nana" from Africa, with small leaves, bearing ornamental figs in Spring.  The ficus "Golden Gate" from Taiwan is now in stock in all sizes, as is the Salicifolia (Nerifolia) with willow-like leaves.  All these plants grow well in our temperate climate outdoors, love the summer heat, and do well for us indoors under high light conditions. We now feature "Elephant Food" (Portulacaria afra), which is similar to the jade plant, but with much smaller leaves.

We have a limited selection of trees for outdoor culture:  bougainvillea, natal plum, Korean hornbeam, juniper, elm.  Our "little shop of little trees" has the largest inventory of bonsai containers in the Southwest,  including pots from Japan, China, and Korea.  We stock bonsai tools, wire, kits, potting mixes, books, video tapes, and magazines.  Our classes for beginners are offered in October, February, and May (three sessions each course, including hands-on workshop experience).

We're usually open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and open most Saturdays December through April.  Please give us a call or email us to confirm these hours, or to make an appointment, as hours may change due to seasonal work in our greenhouses.  In May of 2002, we'll be moving to larger showroom facilities.
