TUCSON BONSAI SOCIETY

The Tucson club was founded in 1972 by David Meyer with assistance from the Phoenix club.  David was chairman of the American Bonsai Society 1981 Symposium in Boulder, CO, and of the recently held ABS 1999 Symposium in Tucson.  Except for this year, the club has an annual show and sale in the Spring.
The Tucson Bonsai Society meets at 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month except August at the Tucson Botanical Gardens' Porter Gardens facility, 2150 North Alvernon Way.  Annual membership dues are $25.00 per individual or $37.50 per couple.
With his wife Judy, David operates the Bonsai Center of Arizona, "a little shop of little trees" located at his offices.  Indoor/exotic bonsai are their specialty.
