Yautja The Yautja are an alien species whose territory extends out near the Verge. Although yautja have had brief interactions with humans for centuries, few humans have lived to tell about it. The Verge people have had a few brief contacts with the Yautja, but not enough to have proof of their existence.
The Yautja are a carnivorous, predatory species whose lives are focused on hunting and strength. Despite their advanced technology, Yautja space is not very expansive. They are an advanced species whom have developed several technologies beyond those of current human standards, but they prefer to hunt for the sport of it rather than expand their boundaries in space.
The Yautja are not much interested in more than strength and hunting. They have code of honor that seems warped from a standard galactic point of view. Yautja males are trained to hunt and are "blooded" when found worthy of the honor. They get this by getting a kill on a Xenomorph on a hunt. They then are blooded by the acid blood from the xenomorph they killed with a mark between their eyes. Their code will allow those whom win in single combat to walk away from further hostilities.
Yautja look somewhat amphibious/reptilian. They have clawed hands and feet and a fanged mouth that spreads open on 4 fanged tusks. They have tightly woven tresses that horseshoe around their heads, and They stand upright, on 2 legs as humans do averaging 2 - 2.5 meters tall. They are very fast, agile, and able to climb well. They are incredibly strong and durable. Yautja seem to prefer hot, humid climates and hate the cold.
As far as starship technology goes they have developed Antimatter reactors, Induction engines, Space folding, Multiphase radar, Cloaking units, Foldsenders, and of course the standard ship systems used by the rest of the know galaxy...how they develop these technologies is still a mystery as they seem to spend all their time hunting and fighting.
