Moving to Georgia (1784-1787)

            Bud MULLINS probably arrived in Georgia around 1784-1787.  At this time, there was some confusion of where he came from as there were many immigrants coming from Virginia and North Carolina to settle in the newly opened territories.  Several families that he encountered, either before his arrival or later, that were in the Franklin/Wilkes Counties area and where they came from were:

1. Matthew SPARKS - Wilkes County, North Carolina – 1785

2. John II & Elizabeth MULLINS – Goochland, Virginia (via Guilford County, North Carolina) – 1785

3. Jesse WALTON, Esq. – Goochland, Virginia (possibly via Guilford County, North Carolina)  - 1784

4. Thomas MULLINS II – Bute County, North Carolina (possibly via Chatham County, North Carolina) – 1785-1787

5. Bud MULLINS - Bute County, North Carolina (possibly via Chatham County, North Carolina) – 1785-1787
